amount on a payout is what you send from your wallet. The
customer receives that amount converted into the payout currency. If you’d
rather fix what the customer receives, for example exactly 5,000 MXN, set
amount_type to receive. We calculate how much to send and the fees, then
debit your wallet for both.
amount_type is optional. Leave it out, or set it to send, and nothing
changes.
In both modes, fees are added on top and charged to your wallet. In
receive
mode the customer always gets the full requested amount.
Receive mode is supported on:

Same-currency payouts
When the debit wallet and the payout currency are the same (for example, USD to USD), the send amount equals the receive amount. Fees are still added on top.Limits and errors
- The payout method’s minimum and maximum limits are checked against the calculated send amount, so a receive amount can be rejected for being above or below a limit. The error message shows the limit in your wallet currency.
- If your wallet balance can’t cover the send amount plus fees, the request
fails with
Insufficient wallet balance. Nothing is debited. - An
