A passkey lets you sign in to the Yativo dashboard with your device’s own unlock (Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, your phone’s screen lock or a security key) instead of an email code. Passkeys can’t be phished or reused on another site. Everyone on your team sets up their own passkeys, including invited teammates. A teammate’s passkey signs in to their own account, with their own role.
Passkeys are for people signing in to the dashboard. Your servers call the API with an API key.

Add a passkey

1

Sign in to app.yativo.com with your email code.
2

Open Passkeys

Go to Security → Passkeys and click Add a passkey.
3

Name it and confirm

Give the passkey a name you’ll recognise, such as “Work laptop”, then confirm on your device.
Add a passkey on each device you use.

Sign in with a passkey

On the sign-in page, enter your email and choose Sign in with a passkey, then confirm on your device. If you haven’t set up a passkey on that device, continue with your email code.

Manage your passkeys

Under Security → Passkeys you can see each passkey and when it was added, Rename it, or Remove it. Remove passkeys for devices you no longer use. Removing a passkey doesn’t lock you out. You can still sign in with an email code.

Supported devices

Passkeys work in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox on macOS, Windows, iOS and Android, and with hardware security keys. If your browser doesn’t support passkeys, the dashboard doesn’t show the option.
