This guide gets you up and running with Yativo’s sandbox environment, from obtaining test credentials to executing a payout and setting up webhooks.

1. Obtain Team API Keys

Sign in to the Yativo Dashboard (or sandbox dashboard) and navigate to Settings → API Keys. Create a new API Key pair:
  • X-Api-Key: A public identifier (yativo_pk_...).
  • X-Api-Secret: A secret token (yativo_sk_...). Keep this private and never expose it in client-side code.
In production, you must whitelist your backend server’s public IP address before making requests. In the sandbox (https://smtp.yativo.com), IP whitelisting is optional.

2. Authenticate Your Requests

Pass your API credentials as HTTP headers in every request:

3. Create a Customer and Beneficiary

Before disbursing a payout, register a customer and add a destination payout method (e.g., recipient bank account or mobile wallet):
cURL
The response returns a payment_method_id (e.g. 18096).

4. Execute a Payout

The standard payout endpoint is POST /api/v1/payout/simple:
cURL
You can specify a locked quote_id to guarantee rates and fees, or pass "amount": 250.00 directly.
